A&S engaged Mekanic at the onset of the COVID pandemic to help build a stronger brand and expand its reach. It is a third-generation, family-owned and operated custom stone and tile fabrication and installation business providing superior craftsmanship for both residential and commercial clients since 1971. A&S believes in providing an in-person preview of the design vision clients are working toward. This is accomplished through an in-house, high volume natural stone and quartz production plant powered by highly experienced craftspeople and a dedicated installation team.
We saw the need to align the two divisions of A&S—commercial and residential—through a complimentary visual identity, distinct voice for their primary audiences, updated web experiences, and an active social media presence to showcase their award-winning work. We also aimed to expand marketing efforts to deepen their relationships and reach within large commercial development and construction companies, as well as interior designers for their residential division.
The new A&S typographic logo mark was designed to retain the legacy of the family business initials while creating a more designful solution expressive of the high-caliber, high-design work they deliver. The main focal point is the prominent ampersand to speak to their partnership approach both internally and externally.
In addition, we directed photoshoot and drone footage to capture A&S’ expansive production facility, reestablished blogs with increased frequency, designed more impactful and memorable collateral, and opened new marketing avenues to increase recognition.
